Double glazing makes no sense if you use an aluminum frameI did a calculation in physics class once, and most of the heat is going thru the aluminum, not the glass, because aluminum is such a good heat conducterJust disagreeing with one person's answer thereFluorescent light are good, or metal halide lights, which are far more expensive, but also MUCH brighter than fluorescent (same energy efficiency.) A 400W metal halide gives off a little more light than 5 shop lights with 2 tubes eachI do not have a greenhouse, though - I have these lights inside my home an indoor mini greenhouse.
