I have a 2005 f150 and want to cut my cats off , what would be a really loud exhaust , and also would cutting the cats turn on my check engine light? And how do I get it off someone told me like orielys or autozone could get it to turn off. Thanks
driving without a cat os illegal and you could get a hefty fine. I wouldnt cut off the cat but just get a flowmaster. If you want a loud exhaust then get a series 60 or 80.
If you remove the cats you won't be able to pass a visual inspection to get a sticker, and there is a pretty hefty fine if you are caught running without one. You can go cat-less, but you will need MIL eliminators to keep the check engine light from coming on, they are plug and play, they plug into your O2 sensor plugs. Try SLP Loudmouth II exhaust, that's a pretty aggressive sounding exhaust.
If you cut the catalytic converters off you will never pass inspection and your likely to do alot of damage to the vehicle.
