Question:

I need help with my Pantomime assignment?

The assignment is to be trapped in a placeIt could be anything! I want it to be really creative!! A lot of people are going to be doing an elevator, but if I do that, I would want to be very creative on how I try to get outWhat we are supposed to show is how we get in, how we try to get out, and how we either die or get outCan someone please help me with this! IM COMPLETELY STUCK! Its my first theater assignment and I want to impress my teacherCan you give me the place and how to try and get out? I will probably add more and edit itI just need some good ideas! And nothing too complicated! I want it to be simple, but creative! Thank you :)

Answer:

Hmm You could get stuck in: An oven An elevator (obviously) A dog house An old underground bomb shelter A trap that you fell into A box (creative, I know) A coffin (you could be really creative on that one, like you accidentally got buried alive, you breaking open the coffin lid, the dirt falling on you, you digging to the surface, or you dying underground) That's all I gotHope I helped
Lightsphere with white cover,Amberdome diffuser for Tungstun Lighting with Yellow cover, also you have to use bounce light, it won't given too strong shadows.
Do you know anyone with a shop light? The kind you get at the hardware storeI think they are 25 or 30 dollars at Home DepotBut maybe a friend has one in his garage? I've used shop lights for some of my best portraits.
Any portable floodlight or worklight is a good startThe ones with the long thin bulbs (tungsten filament?) put out a good almost white lightBuild a wire frame so you can drop in filter materials (at least an inch from the glass to avoid fires)Experiment with coloured cellophane, tinted/frosted glass, see-through fabrics etcThe work light style can be bought as individual cradle mounted or as single/twins on an adjustable poleTwo of each should give you semi-professional lighting.
most schools have access to MacsMost Macs have iMoviemost iMovie have an effect that simulates lightening Maybe that will work
