Question:

i play off 22 and i need new irons?

i have problems with hitting my irons long and high. any suggestions?

Answer:

Based on what you said, you do not need new irons, you need some lessons. I would suggest getting a lesson or two (which will cost much less than new irons), working on what they tell/show you for a month or so. You should see significant improvements. Clubs do not fix a swing or lower your handicap, correct practice does. I hope my post did not come off poorly, it is just a common misconception that clubs are holding back potential. Unless your irons are terribly wrong for you (could get fitted to be sure) it is not the irons keeping you from hitting the shots you want to be hitting. Good luck.
go to hybrids or rescue clubs, they are a lot easier to hit than say 3 yrs ago.
New irons can help a little. If you go with the super game-improvement irons like Cobra ufi's or S9's and Taylormade Burner Pluses or Burner Superlaunches, it can help you launch the ball a little higher and straighter. But chances are you have problems in your swing. If you have problems primarily in your long irons (3-5), then you can replace them with hybrids and get away with it. But if you have problems from your 9-iron on down then spend your money on lessons not on new irons. I hope that helps. Good Luck.
