Question:

i recently got new tires at walmart and my car slides more than it did with the old ones?

so my question is how come i am sliding more with better tires on my car then i did with bad tires. My car is front wheel drive, and i have like 150 lbs of cat litter in the trunk to weigh my car down and i still seem to slide around. i have to say i pump the brake when slowing down at a stop light or stop sign and i only go like 10 mph when i still slide like 10 ft. can someone help o and i have a 02 dodge neon es. and the tires i recently put on were 185/60/r15's an average all season tire.

Answer:

Obviously you are driving too fast for conditions, a common defined traffic violation. Slow down! When first encountering adverse weather conditions slow to a speed that seems too slow and evaluate your progress. Also, leave for your destination with plenty of time to get there, that will reduce or eliminate the temptation to go to fast. Generally, snow tires help more to get you moving but not much to help you stop or steer.
I have dry hair also, and i jsut use a cheap deep conditioner like you use probably. I found the thing that saved my hair i made it not dry anymore was cutting off all the dead and split ends, and then i put mayo on my hair for an hour and my hair is so soft and shiny. I do this once a week. Its soudns crazy but it works and is really cheap.
Tires are a small part of the problem. Unless you have studded tires not much is going to help on icy roads. Worst things to do while on icy roads - hit brakes. Also, press gas. Turning is not good either. Don't follow too close to cars ahead of you. Don't get in the middle of traffic. Best to stay at home. But, if you have to drive - accellerate slowly - drive slowly, and break early so you can brake slowly. Slow way way down before trying to turn.
