2 days ago, I spilled coffee on my keyboard, now it won't type several letters. (I am using another computer now) I read in previous answers you can rinse it out and then dry it. It is drying now. Do you think this will work?
Dont worry, open the screws at back of the keyboard. Open the back cover, take off elctrical circuit board and plastic films. Wash the keyboard let it dry by air blower or sun and clean the films by wet cloth. Re-assemle the keyboard enjoy using it again. IMPORTANT NOTE: please remember/write down how u r opening the keyboard (Even it is easy). It will work inshaAllah

It MAY work. Unplug the keyboard, gently remove the keys and try cleaning with a Q-tip or cloth wrapped around a pencil. Use alcohol if needed to get any sticky stuff out. NEVER dunk the keyboard in water.
You probably want to remove the keyboard from the computer (for instructions, do a search for dismantling the specific computer model), and then carefully clean it with various implements (like fine cloths and and toothbrushes and such). Note that when cleaning, don't much water. After cleaning, let it dry. Don't leave it out in the sun to dry; using a blow dryer is also probably not a great idea; it's best to let it sit in a dry room for a day or two. When it's dry, but it all back together and try using it again. If it still doesn't work, a repair sjop might be able to do a better job or, more likely, you'll need to replace the keyboard.
Heat up your oven to the minimum temperature. Turn it off completely. The temperature should start to fall rapidly below the 350 setting with the door open for a minute. Carefully place the keyboard inside and close the door. Wait just 5 minutes, then take the keyboard out. It should be very hot to the touch, so just set it aside so nobody gets burned. When it cools down, it will also air-dry. (I've done this with laptop computers too, but I never soaked them in water first I just dry them that way). If this does not work, then buy a new one. Staples will sell you a nice keyboard for under $25. But look at the plug If it is rectangular, it's USB. If is a small 1/4 plug, it is a PS/2 type. If this is a huge 1/2 inch plug, then it is the old fashioned AT type (which I doubt). Good luck
