Why does she do this and is it dangerous for her?
Remy is a good quality of hair and its like 80 dollars a pack but they have different names like blue Remy and all of the is almost the same.
The reason is because she was taken from her mother before she was weanedEven as an adult, she still seeks to suckle as if drinking milk from her motherIt happens when kittens are weaned to earlyKittens should usually suckle till their about 4 months old because the longer they drink their mother's milk, the healthier and stronger they will be as adultsHowever, a lot of times they are weaned at around 8 weeks or so because they are given homesthis isn't particularly bad, but they may and probably will develop this suckling habit because they were weaned too early It can potentially be dangerous if they suckle hard enough they can ingest the material and it could cause an internal blockage, so be carefulMy 2 year old cat was taken from his mother at around 1 month and a half and he suckled on my curtain (among other things) and actually ate a hole into it a couple months agoHe swallowed it, but thankfully it left his systemNot all cats are lucky enough to get it out of their system, so be carefulMaybe try a natural cat-off spray to keep her away from things she could possibly chew on and ingestThey sell the sprays at the pet store and they are harmlessAs they go they should grow out of this suckling, because my 2 year old is no longer suckling on anything anymore Maybe buy her somekind of chew toy that she could suckle on that she cannot a ingestAnd the purring and kneading means that as she suckles, she rememebers her mother because kittens when they suckle on their mother they purr and knead her belly to make the milk flowKneading reminds they of their mother, where she once had a comfort zone and when she kneads your belly or arm, etc, she's very comfortable.
