Question:

Do you only use pine tar on wooden bats?

I want some pine tar but i don't have a wooden bat to use it on i only have aluminum batsI don't want to ruin the bat either.

Answer:

If they are about as high as a normal telephone pole, there is going to be no easy way to get those out because they are buried very deepI would dig a big hole around them and cut them off a couple of feet below gradeThat's really about all you can do.
Dig around the pole about a foot or sowTake a heavy rope and tie it as low as you canPut a old tire with rim in front of the pole with the rope on top of the rimTie off to a truckWhen you start pulling it will pull the rope it will pull up since its on top of the rim and out it comesMake sure your rope is long enough so when the pole comes out it wont land on your truck.
If you need to use pine tar you can use it on aluminum batsBut before putting on the pine tar, you will have to re tape your bat with athletic tapeYou cannot leave the original grip or put new grip because it will get ruined and that will just add to your original problemAthletic tape will work best with it.
