Question:

I want to be able to switch between networks with out having to switch ethernet cables?

one of the networks is the building network and one is a local network for a video production labAnd there is one system that is able to be on both networks, and we don't want to keep switching cables each time we need to get files off of the video network, on to that systemWe don't have a lot of money to spend on buying a proudct, so building something is prefered.

Answer:

Density: D m/v In your case you're playing with uniform material with a known, constant densitySo m Dv where the density, D, is a constant and m and v are variablesSo v is proportional to m and D is the constant of proportionalityIn other words, yes to your question.
not recommended to link the two systems together using a bridge, for security reasons, but it is possible by adding a second ethernet card to your machine.
