Answer:

Metal plumbing has the same effect.
Maybe you should consider only smoking out of things that don't burn when you smoke from them like metal and glass. Or you could just stop smoking pot in my mind that would be the best solution to your problem.

Usually, houses in a densely populated neighborhood are not at high risk of lightning damage because of protection inherent in nearby towers, trees, large buildings, etc. Properties that are at high risk of lightning damage are usually those that are taller than the surrounding features or are out in the open like cow barns, golf course shelters, high-rise buildings. Obviously structures like the White House, the Sears Tower and the Washington Monument that are tall, out in the open and are of critical National importance are protected from lightning strikes.
