I want to know about transmissions. Like can you put any transmission in a car?
No transmissions like other parts must fit into the car.

No. You can't. Basically, you need to install the manufacturers recommended engine/transmission set. Some people know how to mix and match, but they're skilled mechanics.
Any is a pretty broad term. With me, I could put almost ANY transmission in almost ANY car, if you can compensate me properly. But I think you are asking a much less broad question. I think you have a possible car in mind, and you want to put a manual transmission where an automatic transmission is, or vice versa. Maybe put a 6-speed transmission where a 5-speed is. Right?
