Answer:

My skins the comparable as yours and the sole moisturizer i ever use on my face is Nivia, the single in a blue potI swear by itUse it morning and nighttimeMy skins clean and not peeling with dry epidermis etctry it, expenses around ?4:50 for a pot-x-
its because of your dry skinBut some cream on it.
If you wrap the veggies with a few of layers of aluminum foil ,the veggies will be okayI would suggest you add a little broth or butter with them to ensure they do not dry outYou can also put the foil pack in a casserole dish with a coverThe heat will have to penetrate the dish as well as the foil.
You could try wearing glovesOr better yet - mittens! HahaI would bet that dragging your rubber-soled shoes on the carpet is the main culprit, contrary to your disbeliefPerhaps you could try to be a little bit lighter on your toesWe have that problem right now in California, too - dewpoints in the 30s or lower is usually dry enough to cause static electricity to build upOur dewpoints out here have been in the 10s and 20s the last few daystalk about chapped lips! Let's pray for rain (or snow).
A humidifier, as the first answers tells, is certainly the best way to decrease static shocksBut I'd like to explain the difference between relative and absolute humidityAt a certain temperature, a certain volume of air can only contain a certain volume of water as a gasShould the volume of water increase, or the temperature decrease, some of the water must condense into dropletsDuring the winter, with colder temperature, the hygrometer may show 100 percent moisture outside your home but there will be less absolute moisture than 100 percent during the summerIf you warm up your home during the winter, the air coming in is from the outside and even if it rains or snow and the relative humidity outside is 100 percent, once warmed up in your home, it will be less; hence the reason the air feels dryer in our homes during the winter and the need, for some, to have a humidifierNote that humidifier manufacturers recommend not to have a relative humidity higher than 45 percent because otherwise it would favour the growth of bacteria and algae For the static electricity, the relative humidity is not a factor; the absolute one isIt means that e.gwarm saturated air leads more static electricity than cold saturated oneIncidentally, before I refuel my light aircraft, I must connect the engine to an earth wire to avoid static sparksIf you're ever at sea and a SAR helicopter comes to pick you up, the winch man will first dip the wire in the sea before picking you upOtherwise you could get quite a shock from the static electricity stored in the helicopter from the friction with the air molecules.
