i was driving a used 2002 acura TL and when i lift my legs of gas pedal, the cars jerks as if i slammed break

The owner is claiming he got transmission done recently and it is under warrantyThe car drives fine but it jerks whenever i lift the leg of the gas pedall.What should i do? Should i buy it for $5500 and expect some future repair.It has 124K on itI really want your opinion
