Question:

ICBM (UR-100) launched and the silo door hasn't opened. what would happen?

if there was a failure in the pneumatic door covering a missile silo, what would happen if the missile was launched?

Answer:

Nobody wants to know the answer to that
..it would explode inside the launching area?
Since it's a Russian rocket, hopefully it would take out some of the Russian countryside.
Its federal belongings. As we've in no way released one, the region has in no way arisen in the previous. If we are launching icbms, we've much greater to agonize approximately than what we can do with a cement hollow interior the floor.
1. the missile wouldn't launch. there are fail safes built into the doors , so if they are not open, the missile cannot be launched. If those fail safes did not work for some reason and the booster ignited anyway. It would quickly ignite the rest of the solid rocket booster, and it would blow up ( the booster would blow up ) And that would blow the doors off the silo And spread radioactive contamination ( maybe ) around the silo Or it could just blow the doors off, and blow the war heads several hundred feet from the silo and there would be no radioactive contamination. There would not be a nuclear explosion.
