If additional weight is added to an automobile,should we change the stiffness of the spring? Or is there any other factor that affects the performance of the spring? Is there any formula for that? Thanks in advance.
Additional weight requires stiffer springs. Also going into the design of the suspension system is the resonant frequency of the suspension system itself. Shock absorbers deal with that. Resonant frequency has to do with the synchronized bouncing of the suspension system. Much like dribbling a basket ball. If you try to dribble the ball at a difference rate than the ball's bounce, it won't bounce. Good for suspension systems, bad for basketball.
The tire pressure is way to low. The correct range will be written on the sidewall. Back tires wear faster then the front ones. Slime only makes a mess.
