Question:

If I go for a Phenom x6, with AM3+ MB,I would only need to (eventually) upgrade the processor to bulldozer, yea?

I know phenom 6 doesn't outperform i5. But to upgrade from i5 to i7 900 series takes serious upgrades and a lot of money. So, I will just go for a Phenom x6 for now and get the Bulldozer later when I can afford it. I will ONLY have to upgrade to the Bulldozer and nothing else right? No RAM upgrade or anything right?Which RAM speed do I use?Do I need matched ram? Any other issues I'm not thinking about?

Answer:

Bulldozer still supports the same type of ddr3 ram, just make sure the ram you get is the same voltage and has the same timings, but if you buy them and they come in pairs you shan't worry about that.
