If I need a diet that is high in fiber, can I short cut it by taking benefiber of metamucil?

I have hemmoroids and need a diet high in fiberwill the above mentioned products help me?

ALMOND COOKIES 1 1/2 cshortening 2 eggs, save a little to brush top of cookies 1 tspbaking powder 1 tspalmond extract Almonds 1 1/2 csugar 1/2 tspbaking soda 3 cflour Mix shortening and other ingredients in orderRoll into 1 inch ballsPut 2 inches apart on a cookie sheetPlace an almond on topBrush with leftover egg mixtureBake at 350 degrees for 17 minutesMake 4 1/2 dozen.

you can supplement it with those products, but you really do need to focus on getting your fiber through foodit's actually a pretty good way to manage calorie intake, tooyou're so busy stacking up the fruits and vegetables you don't have time for simple carbs that have no fiber and too much sugarand the guy above is dead on target - if you're still eating foods that bind you up, not much will help until you cut down on thoseapples and bananas are two things that will cause constipation - but there's a lot of fruit that will help move things along - the three P's especially: prunes, peaches and pearsgood salads will helpand probably what helped me the most was finding a yummy multigrain bread to eatand don't eat ANY other kind of bread once you find itlook for a decent protein content, and at least 4-5 g fiber per servingdrink lots of waterand talk to your doctorthere are other disorders and meds that have constipation as a side effect.
