Question:

If you use the stall in public men's restroom, is it okay to zip up pants, fasten belt before washing hands?

I'm a bit of a germaphobe, but trying to get over it! Curious to hear a concensus--okay to zip up pants and fasten belt before washing hands? I always worry that the sweat (from "down there") will contaminate my otherwise clean belt and pants. Sounds crazy, I know--curious to hear what others think, since I avoid public restrooms (other than to urinate) whenever possible!

Answer:

You should put your pants back on before washing your hands. Nobody wants to see your junk.
I live in a country where most local men think the men's room is for sissies (so they take a whiz in the street). If you stay clean and don't have any accidents, you can fasten your trousers in any order you wish.
im pretty sure u zip and belt up before u wash. im not a guy but that seems to be the most logival thing to do. u compltee everything to do down there and then u wash ur hands of it
Don't have a zip on my pants - just pull them up, then my trousers (denim dungarees) and wash my hands double if leaving the men's room, loiter at door for man to come through and hold open, wink and leave in a hurry.
It's just logical to do it before you wash your hands, because the chances are your trousers will be down by your ankles or you'll look weird walking across to the wash basin trying to keep them up. Don't worry about your genital germs being on your belt and zipper. They won't kill you or even harm you.
