Question:

english snaffle bits question?

Im buying a horse who is now ridden in a happy mouth dee ring. I need to get her a new bit but Im not sure if I should get a happy mouth dee, a regular dee, or an egg butt or what. Shes not so great turning and to my understanding dees are better than loose rings for that, right? does it sound like I should stick with a dee. but then there are the copper rollers, copper ones, sweet iron, rubber, and french link. but what exactly do french links and all do? are they softer or harsher? And should I go with happy mouth or rubber, or just a more plain one? oh, and one more random question- i was looking at the dee rings and one has like a curved mouth piece. Ill put up links. Are theyre a difference between the bits below?

Answer:

Without being able to turn the key in the ignition, it will have to be drilled out in order to enable installation of the new one. The new cylinder will need to be pinned to match the key cut profile of your existing key. You are better off having this done at your nearest Ford dealer. Also, the replacement lock cylinder is identical to the style used on 2005 to current model year Focuses, if purchased from Ford. This eliminates the need to have separate keys for the door and the ignition. The part number from Ford is SW-6285. Hope this helps.
you can use a water hose instead of calling the fire department
