In the Pacific NW, what will get rid of Crane Flies in my yard?
If they are indeed crane flies, they have very short lives and will be gone in a short time, and do no harm - so why bother? In any case, I do not see how dolomitic lime would help - their larvae are aquatic, not in the dirt, and the adults do not feed.
Crane Flies,aka Mosquito Hawks are beneficial insects and I would not get rid of them.
