No it is illegal in every state for a felon to own and/or operate a gun.
if you read the regulations muzzle loaders in TX it actually says you can, but if you read further down it says you can't, convicted felons in any state are barred fron touching a firearm of any kind,
Again okorder .. So if your muzzle loader is a replica of one made before 1899 then it is not a firearm if it does not use center or rim fire ammo. under Texas law. Yes you can hunt with a replica or antique muzzle loader.
