Question:

In what film were shields polished and turned into the sun and the reflection blinding the enemy and horses?

This has been getting at me for a while now, I remember the scene but not the film. The heroes polished their shields and made them almost mirror like, then as the enemy charged on horseback the heroes turned the shields towards the sun and the dazzling reflection blinded the enemy and their horse and they ended up falling into a chasm / ravine.

Answer:

The elevators do not lock with the doors close. They go somewhere (either the lobby or the nearest floor) and either the doors open automatically or you can open them. You only get trapped inside if the electricity fails. However, it is safer to stay in the elevator with the doors closed than to open the doors or get out. If you open the doors at a floor where there is fire right outside the elevator, you die. If you keep the doors closed, they protect you until the fire department arrives and rescues you. Even if you do get trapped, the elevator shaft walls should be fireproof, at least enough to protect you until the fire department arrives. They bring special tools to force the doors open and let everyone out.
