These heaters are totally bogus. Electric heaters are pretty close to 100% efficient any way you slice it. A home electrical outlet is only able to supply 20 amps and UL regulations limit appliances to 1500 watts max. 1500 watts of electricity will produce about 6000 btu's of heat. It does not matter if it is produced by a ceramic element, a quartz lamp, a resistance heater or some other mechanism, energy is not created and the most you can produce is 6000 btu's. Save your $ and buy a $25 electric heater it will work just as well and leave you with enough $ to run it all winter for several years! Astrobuf
Works best in small spaces and is not very efficient. Regular heaters work best.
