Question:

Insulation in garage?

The garage of my house is on ground level with 2 bedrooms above it the walls/ceiling are insulated and sheetrocked but I want to add another layer of insulation I was going to use foam board since I only have approx a 3 inch clearance where the door rolls up is this worth the time/money???

Answer:

All Bran, Raisin Bran, Shredded Wheat, cabbage, carrots, celery - almost all fresh veggies and fruit and whole grains contain good fiberThere are also fiber pills and powder.
bananas, apples, whole grain wheat, cabbage, lettuce, oatmeal, when you eat fruit try not to peel the skin cause it contains lots of fiber
I did some quick research and this is what i found to be the top fiber rich foods raspberriesblackberries strawberries cherries rye bread broccoli turnip greens almands Brazil nuts whole wheat peanuts walnuts green beans turnips greens swiss chard kale collard brussel spouts
Raw fruits and veggies! Apples, pears, broccoli, cabbageOatmeal, ground flaxseedThat is only a small listKnow that meat contains no fiberIt isn't hard to get enough fiber.
The insulation to be effective needs to touch both top and bottom and all 4 sides without being crammed in the spaceThe problem is that insulation is nothing but an air filter as we say in the businessYour money will be much better spent on adding a sealed air barrier at the bottom of the current insulationThis can be acheived with Tyvek or ThermoPlyTyvek is flexible and a bit easier to work with but not as effectiveMake sure the Tyvek or ThermoPly are touching the insulationOnce you sheet the bottom of the insulation, seal any seams and gaps with spray foam.
