I am going to be insulating and finishing the inside of my small cabin, and was wondering what others feel the best insulation material isIt gets seriously cold where I am - below zeroI would want the insulation to be seriousPlease let me know what you think about r-value and ease of installation of some different types(My only quirk would be that I can't stand fiberglass batts - I'd use 'em if I had to though.)
it will not show up as bright purple, at best, a tint most likelyi'd just buy a streakerthey sell them just about anywherealso, chalking is a huge thing now, and washes outalso, dont mix it with shampooshampoo is what youd use to get it out, so how would that make any sense?
if your cabin is small then it will heat up quickly and not require a lot of heatOlder cabins usually have small rafters not allowing larger space for better R value Sprayed foam insulation is the best and will creat an airtight insulation system but expensive and has other considerationsBut a good wood or pellit stove and cheap fiberglass insulation will keep you toasty warm and is best for its simplicity and cost.
