I would go with ceramic braces or braces in general. The problem with Invisalign is if it hurts you'd just immediately take it off and neglect to wear it (unintentionally of course). With braces, you'll always have them on. You also won't lose your braces while eatting. I know some patients have lost their Invisialign trays on accident.
obviously invisalign is less noticable and you can take them out when you eat and brush your teeth, which is nice, speaking from prior metal mouth experience. however, if you think you'll get lazy and wont put them on every night, or go to the orthodontist every two weeks, get the ceramic, plus the process is faster as it forces your teeth together faster. the ceramic braces are kind of clumpy. at first, its going to be noticable because there crooked, but as your teeth get straighter, people do not notice unless they're right up in your face. i know this because my aunt has them. overall i think ceramic, or even regular braces is less trouble and easier to maintain because they're always on and its always making progress, unlike invisalign when you take them out. which ever you choose, the results are the same and the ending result is fantastic.
If your orthodontist has given option for invisalign then go for it. It is less visible and less trouble. But keep in mind that these invisible templates are handed to you by your dentist and it is your responsibility to use them strictly as instructed. Quality of correction may be better with ceramic depending upon the extent of your malocclusion. See the link.
