i was wondering when i put a q-loader on my ion if it would get in the way and if i could put a red dot sight on it?
IT DEPENDS SOME RED DOT SIGHTS ARE MOUNTED ON AN ANGLE IF YOU GET ONE OF THOSE IT SHOULDN'T BE IN THE WAY.
The design of the q-loader is actually to NOT get in the way. Typical mounting position is under the barrel, out of your line of sight. You can mount a red dot sight on your Ion somewhat on the side so the feedneck doesn't obstruct its view, preferably the opposite side of the q-loader's tube (a tube runs from the q-loader to the feedneck, feeding the balls in). You can also look into milsim bodies for the Ion. A few manufacturers make them. They resemble the rail-mount systems on modern rifles, allowing you to mount a number of accessories, like flashlights, lazer pointers... and sights.
