Question:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome: What can I eat?

I've been having symptoms of IBS for the past week now (I'm 99% sure I have it), and I am actually really annoyed with having pains in my stomach and very soft stool one day, and constipated the nextWhat are some things that I can eat to help make my symptoms less painful?

Answer:

The magnet is a good ideaalthough aluminum is a metal, it doesn't contain iron (like steel or cast iron pans, etc.) so a magnet won't stick to itIt's a common misconception though that magnets will stick to any metal Try putting a magnet on various pots (and metal baking pans, etc) you already have, or even aluminum foil, to seeSome more expensive stainless steel pans will be steel sandwiched on both sides of an aluminum layer, but the magnet should stick because of the steel.
Bring a magnet along with you, it will stick to a stainless steel one and won't stick to an aluminum oneAluminum is lighter weight too.
