Is a $50 cold air intake good enough?
Are the rear springs and shocks worn out? How about replacing them with air shocks or helper springs?
check this out, they have all the parts that break fast at a cheap price, www.mtl-autoparts,com/all your OEM Aftermarket and performance needs
Cold air intakes are a complete waste of money, but a big money maker for aftermarket parts sellers. Frankly, I'd save the money for gas right now.
The price difference is because of quality and name. Of course a brand name is gonna charge more than a no name brand. But the filter matters more. For instance i bought an intake on Ebay entirely for the pipe. I installed the intake but used my KN filter instead of the cheap one they sent me.
Dennis is right, its a waste of time and money if you want to get more HP out of your car put a small turbo or super on it you'll gain about 15x what you'd gain with this POS i've proven this time and time again, 1994 Camaro and a 1999 Camaro who'd you think would win? one has 12lb of boost the other a performance chip, cold air intake and a bunch of other useless crap on it but no turbo. i blew the crap out of that car and mine was the 94 won by a mile.
