It seems that most homes in hot climates with air conditioning don't include vents in the garage, meaning that while the house remains cool inside, the garage is often hotter than the outside temperature. It seems that it'd simply be way too hot to spend any amount of time in a garage working on a car or other project without air conditioning.I'm wondering how feasible it is to add air conditioning to a garage, assuming the house already has it?I understand a well-sealing door is a good idea, but other than that I have no idea what is involved. Thanks for any help.
Your biggest problem would be insulationIf your garage is hotter inside than out it's probably becaues the sun warms the attic area, and since there is no, or poor, insulation between the attic and garage area it heats that area as wellYou can insulate effectively enough for what you are doing for fairly cheepAs far as AVWhat I would suggest is a portable AC unitThese usually plug into a standard socket and vent through a windowThis would be better than cutting into the ducting of your house and possibly causing the house AC undue wear and tearYou can just sart up the unit an hour before you know you'll be out there and it won't have to be on all the time.
The working yarn travels under the needle when you move it from front to back (from purl to knit) or from back to front (from knit to purl)If you transfer the yarn over the needle, you will create a loop on the right needle, which is going to look strange when you knit the next rowThere's a good chance you'll treat that loop as a stitch in which case it will become an increase and appear as a hole in your work.
Your 1st question regarding 2 strands of yarnIf you have only 1 skein of yarn you wind off half the yarn into a separate ballYou then have 2 balls to knit togetherNext you cast on 126 sts and work as followsRow 1: K1,P1Repeat from to end of row Row 2: P1,K1Repeat from to end of rowRow 3: Repeat row 1 Row 4: Repeat row 2 Continue repeating the 2 pattern rows till you have done 20 rows.
If you have 1 big ball of yarn, you have to turn it into 2 balls of yarnIf you have more than 1 ball of yarn already, just take the yarn from the start of each ball and hold them together in your hand as though they were just 1 piece of woolSo cast on 126 stitchesThen on the first row do knit 1, purl 1 all the way acrossIf you have an even number of stitches, you will end up with a purl stitch On the second row start with a purl 1, knit 1 and do the same all the way acrossThird row is the same as row 1 and 4th row the same as row 2Keep going for 20 rows.
