Question:

Is Alarm and Secuirty TEchnician a good career?

Ive been working towards an Industrial Electrical Diploma but my real interest is in Alarms, CCTV, Access Controls and other similar systems. My instructor has been pushing me to practice on whatever I can get my hands on and get certified and get working (Hes a big supporter of doing what you like and liking what you do)I would love to work in this field but being from the Washington DC area and wanting to move back (I am in Tennessee right now) I know that whatever career I pick will have to be one that I can live and progress off of. Is this a good career?

Answer:

Sweltering here in a heatwave above 40C (104F) this week, I'll take any hot chocolate you've got and a snowbound winter night. It's much easier to keep warm than cool!
Geez! If you can find some sort of solution to the overnight leaking, you'd be the hero to nursing women everywhere! Lets just say that a) I was a big leaker (wore nursing pads 24 hours a day until my daughter was 8 months, and continued with just overnight until she was 9 months when my breasts finally decided to give it a rest) and b) I am a tosser and turner in my sleep so ya I leaked a lot and all over the place. My only solution (and I use that term loosely) was to wear breast pads all the time and change them a lot. Once I found the most absorbent and non-leaky ones, it was better, and it wasn't so so bad after the first few months. So anyway, I know that's really no help, but just wanted to say, I know what you mean! I think most women find it goes away after a few months (so don't worry, you probably won't be like me!) I like the muslin suggestion I'll keep that in mind for next time! Good luck!
very loud and annoying would be good. flashy lights too. or you could just run around the school yelling FIRE! that always works pretty well.
