I want to know how good of a shot I have if my MOS is for electrical power production or electrician, that I can receive the first duty station on my wishlist.Yes Im aware that the needs of the service come first.
Army MOS 21P (Prime Power Production) is in high demand. Depends on what your duty station of choice is 90% of those with the 21P MOS are assigned between 4 different posts.
Having an AFSC (Air Force)/ MOS (Army) in electrical areas makes that person pretty much in demand. While Electronic Techs are important, none of their equipment can operate w/o electricity. As for getting the first duty station on your wish list, it mainly depends upon the TOE (Table of Operations and Equipment) for a particular base. It not only tells operational procedures, but how many personnel of each rank are needed for that base.
