I had my gallbladder out just before X-mas.was not dome by emergency surgery, but was done LaproscopicI had 18 Staples in all.spreading over several incisionsI found that for the incisions a heating pad helped a bit to ease some of the painI moved slowly for several weeks as it was painful.did not find much that helped with the pain besides talking the pain meds that the Dr gave me.I can tell you that the first week to 10 days were the worse, and after that things got better slowly.by the time i went for my Post op appointment about 2 weeks later (they took staples out then)) I was ready to go back to work as a School Bus Attendant with the special needs childrenTime is what heals the best, and plenty of restWalking around the house and doing as much for myself as i could helped a lot too.
