No, a black light is not harmful to a scorpion. What is harmful is not having proper lighting in addition to the black light. I understand it looks really cool under it, so go ahead and have one in addition to it's proper lighting. I would suggest using vet approved care book recommendations for lighting, and make sure you're looking at the correct TYPE of scorpion too, since there are many. If you fail giving your scorpion the proper lighting it needs, you risk serious health problems from permanent crippling to a slow, long, painful death of the poor thing.
