Question:

Is it easy to install an exhaust system on a car and if how do u do it?

I have a 2000 z28 camaro and I‘m trying to install a SLP loud mouth exhaust system

Answer:

Shy of this system being a direct bolt on system, you may need some special tools. Namely a welder to start with. If it is a direct bolt on replacement system, other than rusted on bolts and nuts. It is easy enough. Just make sure you have a cutting grinder in case you need to cut off the old system due to rusted hardware. An exhaust system is very basic plumbing.
I could recommend lots of things to look for,but this particular 4 runner is having a moment of its own,I suggest a 45 caliber handgun or a 12 gauge shotgun, sometimes you need to slap it around a little bit,--jump in,pull down the sun-visor look directly into mirror sayingI'M YOUR BOSSDONT MESS WITH ME.scream as loud as you can into the head rest, put a potato in the exhaust, let it choke up a little while,it will learn soon that you paid for it.
well the place they put them is under the steering wheel i would recomend unhooking it and youshould only have to unplug it from the box andnothave to worrie about it cause a car alarm that is not workng right will drain a battery and then it will get expencive to fix if you keep push starting it
To make it as easy as possible you need cat-back or direct bolt-on after market system. Make sure it's a system that can be clamped together rather than a weld together system. Should be easy, lot's of choices out there for Camaros. You'll still need to be able to cut out the old system (make sure you remove all the o2 sensors) don't mess up any of the hangers. You'll also need to have car in the air, safely, high enough to work under and get lengths of pipe under there with you. Just as a note if your going to put on a high flow exhaust, put on a high flow catalytic converter.
Camaro , wow , you are a lucky guy . Being a uk based punter , we dont have the benefit of such good cars . If your talking about a complete system , and u've got good advice and assistance, your possibly lokking at 3- 4 hours to do do the job . However , be very carefull when removing head manifold . not 100% sure , but think they require torquing , and if you dont have torque rench and proper settings , could be a waste of your time . Ask local dealer how much to do the job , that way should be done properly . DJC.
