Like preform and collect money and give all the mony to a charity. Is that illeagal or no??
strictly speaking, not really -- unless you give proper credit to the song writers -- otherwise, you are using someone else's creative work to raise money for your own interests (or your own favorite charity) and that is infringement. Just giving credit helps a little, but better is to get permission from the publishing house.
