Question:

Is it normal for my new rear shock absorbers to make noise when I go over bumps?

My rear shocks were replaced about 2 weeks ago. I just went over speed bumps for the first time since then. There is a squeaking/rubbing noise that sounds like it's coming from both sides, only from the rear. Should I take the car back to the mechanic?

Answer:

No. The dog hair is the problem
are you applying the flux to the inside of the fitting and on the pipe that will fit inside the fitting? Make sure you give it a couple secondsabout 10-15 sec. to let the solder cool downafter that you should not be able to move the fitting at all. Its hard to say but from your description it seems like you're doing everything right. Maybe you're not using the right fluxthey have fluxes for different applications i would check that first.
