Question:

Is it OK if I pee in a wash-basin, if the toilet is in use?

Is it OK if I pee in a wash-basin, if the toilet is in use?

Answer:

Environmentally - yes. It goes to the same waste management facility. For hygene reasons you probably would not want too have you ever dropped a toothbrush in the sink filled the sink to shave etc.....
I've been to functions where there was a huge crowd and not enough johns and there was a separate line to pee in the sink. One time I went to a k d lang concert, mostly women there. There were 3 lines to the men's room: guys for the urinals, guys for the sink, and women for the stalls. One sink was left open for hand washing. Everyone was fine with it.
If.... 1. peeing outside is not an option because of lack of privacy or inclement weather 2. the basin is empty 3. you run plenty of water down the drain when you've finished (and clean up any splashes on the counter top, etc.) Sure, pee in the sink. It's better than peeing on the floor, right?
my boyfriend was on the toilet, and i had to go so bad, i was about ready to pee my pants, so i barged in and dropped my pants and went in the tub
LOL! I've done it before. I think it's okay as long as you dispose of the urine properly and wash the basin thoroughly.
