Actually, I'd say non-Asians ARE approaching women left and right (relative to how many Asians are doing it, of course). Culture plays a part. Music is big in everyones' lives right? Latinos have reggaeton that promotes the idea that hollerin' at mamacitas is good, not impolite, and girls are always flattered by it. Many Asians like me feel that hollerin' (such as from a car, especially) is impolite. 50 Cent videos show leaning on a counter at a bar and rapping to a girl is a 100% success rate. Lol I'm kidding about the rapping. But you know what I mean. The important thing is, the music gives their audience confidence. Of course this talk of music is just one factor. It's the difference in perspectives of respect. I'd say 50% of Asians are actually shy, 90% percent are respectful to women. More Asians will approach random women one day when they realize American women like disrespect. Edit: I mean, when Asians realize that approaching women is a normal custom in America. Not to mention when Asians realize that they can be attractive and with a good personality, any normal woman would date them. Need moar confidence!!!1
