Question:

Is it safe to put a TV on a blanket to protect the table underneath?

My father just bought a beautiful new plasma TV. The only table we had that was big enough to hold the TV is a big antique desk, and to protect it from scratches, my father put an afghan throw over the desk and put the TV on top of it. But is that a fire hazard?

Answer:

Sounds like the wallpaper is pretty fancy already. When I think of murals, I think of someone painting one on you wall. Is the pattern of what you are hanging going to compete with the pattern on the wall paper? How heavy is the piece? Maybe a mollybolt would do the trick.
Of course! I'd call for an ambulance first though, because CPR will only buy time until they get proper medical attention but I carry a face shield with me in my handbag in case I ever have to do CPR on ANYONE, regardless of who they are or how they live; I'm a first aider, and we are taught to treat EVERYONE as if they potentially have a contagious disease. It prevents discrimination and makes it safer for all involved! Did you know though, that if you don't want to do the mouth-to-mouth part of resuscitation for any reason (if the person has vomited or they've been hurt so there is blood/ loose teeth/ whatever around their mouth) it still helps to just do chest compressions, because this will pump some oxygen around their body for a while. Calling an ambulance will be the most help though, because CPR won't 'bring them back to life' like it does in the movies! :)
The last time I saw that sold by the foot, was about twenty five years ago at Angels Do It Yourself Hardware Store. We sold them packaged and pre-cut to a certain size at True Value Hardware. Sorry but those are the last places I have ever seen that.
Them being homeless shouldn't make a difference. Of course I would help them-they're a human being.
