I bought a bottle of '2x concentrated' laundry detergent for my front-load washer. Mom says I should use 'HE' laundry soap only. The '2x' is not designated for HE's. (HE stands for High Efficiency). Is it safe I use the '2x' in my new washer?
I about a new set of front loaders and bought the same stuff the 2x stuff thinking it was the same as HE. Called up the LG Hotline and they said it was basically the same thing and it would do no damage and NOT to change the amount it says to use. I now use it all the time. I must admit that I do adore my new front loaders and the new gadgets...the steam cleaning and everything....but the 2x is fine. Peace Love :)
I haven't had a problem w/ my front loader and 2x. I do preffer the old detergent better though.
I have a front loader at my house and I use the regular stuff (not HE or 2x) I just use less. I would assume that the 2x would work the same way, just use less. Also, my room mate uses the 2x stuff (not sure how much she uses for each load though) and we have not had any problems. I would say you have nothing to worry about.
Yes, use less, and use liquid fabric softener to break down the sudsing action to help the machine clear out all of the detergent. Front loaders hate oversudsing. Sometimes I put a little softener in the detergent section as well.
I have the same thing as you and I have used the 2x concentrated soap in mine...I just use less of the soap and so far it has worked fine and I have not had any problems... I think it would be a problem in the future if you used too much every time but I have had the washer for 6 years and so far so good....
