The answer to your question is fairly simple, but there are 2 possible answers. If you want your car to be quieter, go with the stock system. That's what GM designed it to do. If you're looking for more power, go with the magnaflow. The magnaflow was designed to INCREASE power, with the side-effect of producing more noise. I have heard people talk about gaining 20hp from nothing more than a cat-back exhaust like this. Naturally, if you improve just one part of the system you will see only a little gain.
