Is permanent magnet power saving?
The permanent magnet motor compares other motor moments under the same input power and consumes less power at the same moment. But the price is higher. The difference between the two is a few years old if it is counted as a savings.
It is impossible to save electricity. The power of the input determines the mechanical power of the output. And the 17KW permanent magnet is unlikely to be used on your shredder, with costs and other factors limiting the use of these places. Ordinary motors require no work to build a magnetic field, and ordinary generators require a dc to create a magnetic field. Permanent magnet motors, whether motors or generators, need no work or dc to create a magnetic field. Permanent magnet motor loss, low efficiency, high cost, only for small power or special occasion.
In theory, it saves electricity. The permanent magnet motor is compared to the ordinary motor with "three high", high efficiency, high power factor and high power torque. The first two "high" has shown its more energy-saving than general motors.
