HeyThe other day in the store I saw a polyester jacketIt wasn't really a jacket, it was more of a sweater but it looked like a jacket.something not suited for winter.but looked more for maybe a cold spring/fall dayAnyways, I was curious, if I were to wear a light polyester jacket.would it actually keep it me warm? I heard polyester just makes you sweat and is a bad fabricIsn't underarmour and that stuff all polyester though? Thanks
No idea offhand, but you could always just add in some Italian seasonings, red pepper flakes, garlic, and so on into plain or lightly seasoned regular stuffing, then just add in the prosciutto.experiment a littleGood luck!
No, polyester isn't a bad fabric all the timeThere are many polyesters that are great fabrics -many excellent evening fabrics are polyester and some micro-denier polyesters that are better quality in appearance and wear than silks and viscose fabricsUnder armour is made of micro denier polyesterWick away, dri-fit and other high tech performance fabrics are made of polyesters and polyester like fibers and are cooler, drier, easier to clean and far superior for athletics than the traditional cottons used in athletic wear There are also very cheap and low quality polyester fabrics, such as the cheap knits used to make Halloween costumes, or the cheap thick denier yarn twill weaves used to make those atrocious pull-on stretch pants in the old lady department of WalMartSome polyesters are loosely knit or loosely woven and are mostly useless for outerwearHold the fabric or garment up to the light: if you can see holes in the fabric it isn't good enough for outerwear and it's a poor quality polyesterBut there are good polyesters for outerwearSome tightly woven polyesters are water and wind resistant, and when lined they make good fall and spring jacketsOthers are treated with coatings to be even more water and wind resistant, these often have extra information on the hang tags when you buy themPolar Fleece is a polyester made from recycled soda and water bottles and it is extremely warm and water resistantJackets made of polar fleece are very warm in the fall and layered under a coat will provide lots of extra warmth So you can't call all polyesters bad fabrics, The original polyester in the 1960's and early 1970's was rather poor qualityBut technology improved and so did the fiber and fabrics made from itIt's like trying to compare a 1960's adding machine to a 2011 computer! Technology has changed so much from that time the the two can't really compare.
