is polyester fiber cheap?

I like to knit and i make stuff with it and i had nothing to stuff it with and opened up a stuffed animal and found polyester fiberfillAnd i was going to go buy some but it is cheap?

I just use toothpaseI smear it on the ring, rub it with a kitchen towel and then rinse itUsually works well.
Cheap is very relativeIt can be inexpensive, or very highly priced, depending on how much money you have to spendIt is relatively inexpensive most places you find itI would check out some of the big box craft storesthey tend to have more volume and hopefully lower pricesBut also search thrift shops, you might find it there sometimesYou can also stuff much of your knitting with left-over yarns, or torn pantyhose, or old sweatersJust look around your place - anything made of fibre, that you are throwing out, can be used for stuffingSynthetics are better since they tend to dry faster, if you wash them.
