I have a BS in Information Systems from a private university. I'm currently working as an IT Analyst making 40k, I hate my job (although I'm grateful to have one in this economy). So far everyone who I've met who is in real estate sales loves their job. Are there day to day things that you hate? In my job for example, I am chained to my cubicle whether or not I have any work to do and I cannot do anything entertaining or I will be fired. This forces me to stare blankly at documents pretending that I am working. The minutes feel like hours.
Yes it is !!.... Real estate sales agent can update new strategies in business.
In the current real estate climate, real estate agents are looking for other ways to make money. It is simply not a good time to become an agent. Even in good times, only a few make the really big dollars. If I were you, I would change employers instead of careers.
It depends. Real Estate Agents work crazy hours. I have met with mine at 8:30 at night on 3 separate occasions. They seem to make good money but, you have to set up a budget in case you don't make a sale for a while. If you are good with money and able to save, i think you can do well. I think to start up would be hard especially in this economy
I have been self employed for over 20 years and I am much happier than I ever was when working for someone else. As long as you work for someone else you will have the very same problems again and again and you will probably always hate your job. I am not trying to be nagative but that is just a fact of life. Visit this site and look around. There are over 100 business ideas, including various real estate ventures. Who knows you may find exactly what you are looking for.
Real estate is one of the most fun jobs you can have. You meet thousands of nice people. You get invited to dinners and wine-tastings by title companies and mortgage companies and inspection companies. It is a social whirl. But the figures are stark. Over 80% of all agents are out of the business within one year. They are ready to work 90 hour weeks but no one hires you when you are new. They see the huge commission checks being made but they can't get anyone to hire them because every family in town has one member who is in real estate..
