is scaffolding a trade that i could emigrate to australia with?

Answer:

I would say so ... take a look around this site and see what you can find GOOD LUCK.
Just a guess.. I would think all countries use scaffold at one time or another. However what type of scaffold do they use. There is actually a scaffold UNION. check that out. If anyone would know it would be them.
I'm not sure about the immigration regulations, but there's plenty of work for scaffolders, riggers, plant operators etc. Good money too! (maybe look at an allied trade to mark in the box on the forms, as there's definately a skill shortage in Oz.)
Scaffolding is not a trade listed on the Skilled Occupation List and as such you are not eligible to migrate. If you were to receive a job offer in regional Australia then you may (although very unlikely) be able to get a regional 457 visa, a temporary residence visa of up to 4 years.
as it lists all the trades and professions eligible to migrate to Australia. Good luck!
