No, the blender is to add water into the container and chop it up with the food. The juicer just puts the food in the press and pushes the food down with a push bar and out of the juice.
The biggest difference: there are a lot of fruit juice mixer made of pomace, and juicer juice and water almost, only at the bottom there is very little trace of fruit bubble or slag particles.
