We have a 2006 GSXR 600 and we are trying to update a few things on the bike to make it a little safer on the streets, especially at night. We have already changed the headlights to LID lights which are 100X brighter. Of course, as recommended, we flash the brake lights when stopping to draw the attention of the other motorists but we are looking to buy brake lights that flash or have moving LEDs when the brake are applied. My best description of it is perhaps that snake-like design that trails left and right, up and down the screen. I‘ve tried Google-ing it but the majority of the results are integrated lights which isn‘t necessarily what we‘re interested in. We‘ve seen them around but never thought to ask where the person had purchased them. Anyway, if anyone knows the proper term for what we‘re looking for, I‘d very much appreciate the help. There are 2 gizmos available. There is one on eBay that I have that works very well. It is called a brake light safety modulator. It is a module that wires in line with the brake power wire. It can be rigged to either flash 5 times when a brake is applied and then go steady, or it can be rigged to flash the whole time the brake is applied. . The other one is a flashing LED taillight bulb that flashes all of the time, wether or not you are braking.
