Question:

Is there any way to solidify tree sap/resin?

I just wanted to know, as I wanted to make a prop, but couldn't find anything that looked right. If I could solidify it, it would be perfect for it.

Wow, you're only the 7th person to ask a question about this event in the past 3 days. Time to move on, don't you think? No, they aren't. Who knows what else the lightening might have struck if it hadn't been for the statue. Maybe by striking the statue, it saved someone's life.
If you are using an older style mouse with a rubber ball you can remove it and use a lint free cloth/rag dipped in rubbing alcohol to remove all of the debris that collects on the surface of the ball. Re-install into the mouse and you should be fine. If your mouse is optical you need to read the owners guide to find out the recommended cleaning procedure for your model of mouse.
